This Privacy Policy explains how Inivo ("Inivo", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use our mobile application, website, and related services.
Inivo is an AI-powered study starter that helps students turn exams, assignments, and study topics into study plans, focused sessions, and automated AI-assisted Study Calls.
By using Inivo, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the information needed to provide, operate, and improve Inivo.
1.1 Age Eligibility
Inivo is available only to users who are 14 years of age or older. During sign-up, we ask for your date of birth to check whether you meet this minimum age.
We use your date of birth only to determine eligibility. We do not store your date of birth after the eligibility check is complete. We may keep a record that you passed the age check.
1.2 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Name
- Email address
- Password, stored securely in hashed form
- Account creation date
- Login and authentication information
We do not store your plain-text password.
1.3 Phone Number for Study Calls
If you enable Study Calls, we collect and store a verified phone number so we can place automated AI-assisted Study Calls to you.
Study Calls are not live human coaching calls. They are automated, AI-assisted calls used to help you start or continue studying.
1.4 Study Activity
When you use Inivo, we may collect:
- Study goals
- Study plans
- Focus sessions
- Reflections and check-ins
- Notes you voluntarily submit
This information is used to generate study plans, support focus sessions, personalize your experience, and operate Study Calls.
1.5 Study Call Data
When you use Study Calls, we may process:
- Call transcripts
- Call summaries
- Commitments you make during a call
- Call metadata, such as time, status, and outcome
- Call duration
This data is used to operate the call, show you a summary afterward, track commitments, and improve the Study Call experience.
1.6 AI Interaction Data
Inivo uses AI to generate study plans, next steps, Study Call prompts, transcripts, summaries, and related insights.
Relevant text, call audio, or transcripts may be sent to our AI and telephony service providers to generate a response or complete a Study Call. You should not enter sensitive personal information, financial information, medical information, passwords, or other confidential information into the app or during a Study Call.
1.7 Push Notification Tokens and Device Identifiers
If you allow notifications, we may collect push notification tokens and related device identifiers so we can send study reminders, Study Call alerts, and other in-app notifications.
1.8 Subscription and Purchase Status
Inivo uses RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and premium access.
We may receive subscription-related information such as:
- Subscription or purchase status
- Product identifier
- Renewal or expiration status
- App user ID
- Purchase entitlement status
We do not directly collect or store your full payment card details. Payments are processed by the App Store, Google Play, and/or RevenueCat.
1.9 Email and Password Reset Information
If you request a password reset, we may process:
- Your email address
- A temporary password reset code
- Reset request time
- Reset attempt status
Password reset codes are temporary and are not stored in plain text.
1.10 Technical and Usage Information
We may collect basic technical information such as:
- Device type
- App version
- Operating system
- Error logs
- Basic usage events
- IP address or approximate request metadata
- API request logs
This helps us maintain security, debug issues, prevent abuse, and improve the app.
When you visit our website, Vercel Analytics may also process limited website usage and technical data to help us understand site performance and usage.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Check that you are 14 or older
- Create and manage your account
- Provide study plans, focus sessions, and reflections
- Place and process automated AI-assisted Study Calls
- Generate call transcripts, summaries, and commitments
- Send push notifications you have allowed
- Verify subscription and purchase status
- Send password reset emails
- Provide customer support
- Improve app reliability and performance
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
3. AI, Study Calls, and Automated Output
Inivo uses AI-generated suggestions and automated AI-assisted Study Calls to help you start and continue studying. These suggestions and calls are not professional, medical, psychological, academic, financial, or legal advice.
The app is designed for study and focus support. It is not a mental health treatment, therapy service, emergency service, or medical device. Study Calls are automated and AI-assisted. They are not live human coaching or emergency support.

4. Third-Party Services We Use
We use third-party service providers to operate Inivo. These providers process information on our behalf as needed to provide the service. They may have their own privacy policies.
AI Service Providers
We use AI service providers to generate study plans, next steps, Study Call content, transcripts, summaries, and related suggestions.
Telephony Service Providers
We use telephony service providers to place automated AI-assisted Study Calls, verify phone numbers, and process call audio, transcripts, and call metadata.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, premium entitlement checks, purchase status, and subscription-related events.
Brevo
We use Brevo to send transactional emails, such as password reset codes and account-related emails.
App Store and Google Play
If you purchase a subscription, your payment is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. Their privacy policies and payment terms also apply.
Vercel Analytics
Our website uses Vercel Analytics in production. Vercel may process limited website usage and technical data to help us understand site performance and usage.
Hosting and Infrastructure Providers
We use server and hosting providers to run our backend, database, website, and API services.
We share information with these providers only as needed to operate Inivo. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
Depending on your location, we process your information based on one or more of the following legal bases:
- To provide the service you requested
- To perform our contract with you
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect our legitimate interests, such as security, fraud prevention, and app improvement
- With your consent, where required by law, including for Study Calls, phone number use, and push notifications
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your information only as long as necessary to provide the app, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
This may include:
- Account data, such as your name and email, while your account is active
- Your verified phone number while Study Calls are enabled or your account remains active
- Study goals, study plans, focus sessions, and reflections
- Study Call transcripts, summaries, commitments, metadata, and duration
- Push notification tokens and device identifiers while notifications are enabled
- Subscription and purchase status needed to manage premium access
Date of birth is used only for the eligibility check and is not stored after that check is complete.
If you delete your account, we will delete or permanently anonymize your account data from our active systems, unless we are legally required to retain certain information. Some service providers may retain limited records for a short period according to their own systems and legal obligations.
7. Account Deletion
You can delete your account from within the Inivo app.
When you delete your account, we will delete your account and associated personal data from our active systems, including your name, email, verified phone number, study goals, study plans, focus sessions, reflections, Study Call transcripts, summaries, commitments, call metadata, notification tokens, and account information, unless we are required to retain limited information for legal, security, fraud prevention, or accounting reasons.

Deleting your Inivo account does not automatically cancel an active subscription managed by Apple or Google.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you

- Withdraw consent, where processing is based on consent

9. Notifications and Study Call Consent
Push notifications and Study Calls are optional. We send notifications or place Study Calls only if you allow them.
You can withdraw consent at any time by:
- Turning off notifications in the app or your device settings
- Disabling Study Calls or removing your phone number in the app

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already took place while consent was in place.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
These may include:
- Secure password hashing
- Authentication tokens
- Server-side subscription verification
- Access controls
- Encrypted HTTPS communication
- Rate limiting and abuse prevention
- Restricted access to production systems
However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Age Requirements and Users Aged 14–17
Inivo is not intended for children under the age of 14.

Users aged 14–17 may use Inivo if they meet the minimum age requirement and, where required by law, have permission from a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may contact us to review, correct, or request deletion of a minor's information.
12. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different data protection laws.
When we transfer or process data internationally, including through our AI, telephony, hosting, and subscription providers, we take reasonable steps to protect your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
13. Subscription Management
You can manage or cancel your subscription through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
Deleting your Inivo account does not automatically cancel an active subscription managed by Apple or Google. You must cancel your subscription through the relevant app store if you do not want to be charged again.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may notify you through the app, by email, or by updating the effective date and version at the top of this page.
Your continued use of Inivo after changes are posted means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
